Brexit vs Architects

As we know Brexit is unclear for everyone and there is an uncovered gap in terms of regulated professions.

What is going to happen to new architects after the UK leaves the Union? Well this was my first question I asked to the Board before getting my ARB prescribed. They could not answer my queries related to my exercise as an architect in Ireland. I was surprised because, generally, they seem to know everything, they always have a great way to reply but this time I got nothing. As I was already on the way, I proceed with my application.

A year after, with my ARB precribed awarded, I was about to start a RIBA program, but this time I was planning on doing it while living in France.

France answered all my queries I had in once sentence: The UK is leaving there is no point in spending your time on it if you live and practice in this country.

Apparently, if the UK leaves with no deal, all regulated qualifications acquired after Brexit would need to go through an equivalence process, which means, I would be facing the same situation living in Europe as a foreign architectural practitioner.

In the end, I decided to continue my registration process in France due to the uncertainty.
